Rig to Root started with a simple observation: a lot of the people who spend their lives behind a wheel are also the ones building, fixing, and running the systems the rest of us depend on. Trucking and tech don’t usually get talked about in the same sentence, but they’re closer than most people think, and neither one gets much credit for how much skill and grit it actually takes.
Most apparel brands pick a niche and stay generic within it. We wanted the opposite. We wanted shirts that felt like they were made by someone who’s actually spent a week in a sleeper cab, or actually stared at a terminal window at 2 a.m. trying to fix a deploy before a client noticed. Not stock graphics. Not a slogan generator. Real details that mean something to the people wearing them.
The name itself is the whole idea in three words. A rig is a truck. Root is the highest level of access on a system, the account that can touch anything. Rig to Root is the path from one world to the other, and back again, and we liked that it didn’t have to explain itself to the people it was actually for.
We’re still building this thing one design at a time, and we’re building it for truckers, for coders, and for everyone who’s a little bit of both. If that’s you, welcome. Take a look around the shop and find the piece that fits.
